Wet Brining a Turkey with Bird Brine

Glenn Connaughton
There is nothing better than a juicy and moist turkey to start off the holiday season. We have made the process of brining a turkey incredibly easy with our new Revolution Barbecue Bird Brine.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle of Revolution Barbecue Bird Brine
  • 10-12 pound fresh or previously frozen turkey giblets removed
  • 1 Large Brine Bag
  • Optional Seasonings black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, rosemary, thyme

Instructions

  • Mix contents of the Revolution Barbecue Bird Bath with 1 gallon of water. Place the bird in a brine bag with the breast side down and cover with the brine mix. Add any optional spices to the bag and tightly wrap the turkey in the brine bag and refrigerate for 1 hour per pound.
  • Remove the turkey from the brine and rinse with cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel and allow to dry covered in the fridge for 30 minutes per pound.
  • Remove from the fridge, cook, slice, and enjoy!
  •

Notes

For turkeys over 16 pounds, you may need additional liquid to fully submerge the bird. Brine turkeys over 16 pounds for a total of 24 hours to allow the seasoning to fully penetrate the meat.
